Training and Development

Hillingdon Safeguarding Partnership recognises the importance of high quality training for all practitioners working with children and adults. The training offer is updated annually to reflect the changing priorities of the partnership.

To see what is available and to book on to a training course please go to the Safeguarding Partnership section on Learning Zone, directly accessible via this Learning Zone link. It is freely available to those organisations who contribute financially to the SAB and chargeable for all other agencies.

To request a New Learning Zone account, you can do so via the Learning Zone Home Page

Charging Policy

Training is free for employees of organisations that contribute to the Hillingdon Safeguarding Partnership:

  • London Borough of Hillingdon
  • NHS Organisations
  • Metropolitan Police Service

The following charges apply to most of our training courses for other organisations:

Full day courses £95 to all organisations who work with children, young people and adults. Please note: organisations will be invoiced following attendance.

Half day courses £45 to all organisations who work with children, young people and adults. Please note: organisations will be invoiced following attendance.

Some courses are free to all.

Late Cancellation Policy 2025

Training cancellations must be made via a delegate’s Learning Zone account 3 or more days before the date of the session. This is to allow the place to be made available to others who are waiting. Where a cancellation is made within 3 days of the course, or the session is not attended, agencies will be invoiced for the cost of a full, or half-day, session as appropriate. Please note this policy includes delegates from the local authority, health services, and police.
